Join Modern Richmond + The Central Virginia Modern Quilt Guild (CVAMQG) for an inspiring conversation on Modern Quilting featuring the "UnBound" exhibit at Main Street Station Gallery on August 13th at 5:30 pm.
Modern Richmond and CVAMQG are bringing together an incredible panel of modern quilt artists who’s work is featured in the exhibit to share their journeys, design processes, and what “modern quilting” means in today’s creative world. The panel will also be sharing their insights on what makes the quilts in the "Unbound" exhibit modern. Whether you're a seasoned quilter, a curious beginner, or just love bold textile art, this is a night you won’t want to miss this.
Maggie Schubert, Modern Richmond Chair and a Modern Quilter, will be moderating the panel featuring artists, Candra Parker the President of the Board of Directors for the Modern Quilt, Donna Blalock, Kat Van Bourgondien, and Wanda Ann Dotson.
Come early and join the workshop led by Maggie Schubert "A Modern Take on English Paper Piecing" from 4:00pm-5:30pm. Attendees will learn how to make their own English paper pieced (EPP) curve with exposed stitches.
This workshop requires separate registration from the panel discussion.

All levels of experience are welcome and registration fees will cover all needed supplies. If you already consider yourself a quilter, you can exploring a new take on a traditional technique in this workshop or if you have a curiosity towards starting your own modern quilting journey this will be a great place to start!
